Rudolf's Painters
The following visualization shows digital reproductions of paintings associated with the Kunstkammer of Emperor Rudolf II. Habsburg. There are works created during Rudolf's lifetime, as well as later works created during the following two centuries that the algorithm identified as influenced by Rudolf's collections. All these images were arranged automatically by formal similarity with using computer vision. Each image was processed by the Inception neural network and projected onto a two-dimensional map using the UMAP algorithm and PixPlot tool.
